What should I do if the stainless steel pot is rusted and burnt?

The reason why stainless steel can prevent rust depends on a layer of extremely thin and stable chromium-rich oxide film on its surface. This layer of film can prevent the continuous infiltration and oxidation of oxygen atoms. But if the membrane is damaged, stainless steel will also get rusty. In addition, the grades of s.tainless steel are different, and their antirust capabilities are also different. What to do if your stainless steel appliances are rusted? Check out the little recipes we put together below!

Rust removal method for stainless steel pot:

1.For stainless steel pots that are not too rusty, just heat up the pot, and then use a cloth dipped in vinegar to scrub, and the rust stains can be quickly and thoroughly wiped off.

Tip: Do not wash too clean after each use, and leave some oil to prevent rust. You can also heat the pot, pour a little oil, spread it evenly with a shovel, and then turn off the fire. When using it the next day, just rinse it with clean water.

2.If you have fresh lemons at home, you can squeeze out the juice from the lemons, wipe them with a cloth dipped in lemon juice, and repeat several times to remove the rust stains. Or soak the rusty place with boiling water first, apply sour milk, and then apply soap, which can also be scrubbed clean.

3. Scrub the rust stains with 15% acetic acid solution (15% tartaric acid solution is also acceptable), or soak the rust stains in the solution, and rinse with water the next day.

4. Use 10% citric acid solution or 10% oxalic acid solution to moisten the rust stains, scrub with a rag, and then rinse with clean water.

Cleaning methods for black scale and burn marks on stainless steel pots:

5. Pineapple peel cooking stainless steel pot

Stainless steel pots are easily stained with black dirt and are difficult to clean. Now just add water to the larger pots at home, add some pineapple peels, then put all the smaller pots in, boil for 20 minutes, and take them out when they are cold. Shine like new!

6.Boiled Onions in Water to Remove Scorch Marks

If the stainless steel pot is accidentally burnt, you can put some tea leaves and a little water in the pot to boil for 3 minutes, turn off the heat and let it stand for 2 minutes, then rinse normally to remove the burnt marks. White vinegar or baking soda can also be used without tea leaves.

Finally, please be careful not to use hard objects or metal brushes to clean the stainless steel pan, so as not to scratch the surface of the pan. Also, do not use chlorine bleach or strong acid or alkali cleaners to clean the pot.
